Changing Lives One Conversation At A Time
The AHHa! Leadership Approach
Someone once told me I had to be a certain way to be a leader; aggressive, fierce, powerful.
There’s nothing wrong with these words. But what do you do when these words don’t describe you naturally?
I allowed that definition to create a belief that I wasn’t a leader. Looking back, I can see that I made career decisions to avoid leadership roles, even though I was ambitious and wanted to grow.
I know now that we are all leaders, regardless of a title or leading a team.
Self-leadership is at the heart of any kind of leadership. To know who you are and what you stand for as a leader is what gives people around you a reason to follow you.
Leading other people does not solely define leadership. It’s recognizing that that you influence people around you with what you say and do, and what you don’t say or do.
Are you aware of your leadership impact?
Are you the kind of leader that you would follow?
A — Awareness
Notice how you lead.
Leadership growth starts with awareness. Together, we uncover the strengths, assumptions, habits and patterns shaping how you lead. You'll become more intentional about how you listen, respond, make decisions and show up in the conversations that matter.
H — Habit: Name It
Turn insight into everyday practice.
An AHHa moment can change what you see. New habits change what you do. We'll translate insight into practical leadership behaviors like asking powerful questions instead of immediately answering, listening with curiosity, creating space for others to think, and choosing when to coach rather than tell.
H — Habit: Practice It
Turn intention into everyday practice.
Now you're practicing that behavior repeatedly; asking powerful questions instead of immediately answering, listening with curiosity, creating space for others to think, choosing when to coach rather than tell. We’ll explore where it gets challenging and how to navigate obstacles. We’ll also celebrate your successes so you can build on them even more.
A — Action
Lead differently when it counts.
Insight matters when it changes behavior. Coaching turns awareness and practice into intentional action; helping you bring a coach mindset into real conversations to develop others, build accountability and become the leader you want to be.
